Children in Need Fundraising

Students show their charitable nature through fundraising activities for BBC Children in Need

On Friday 19th November students and staff at Hinckley Academy helped raise money for BBC Children in Need.

The Bridge started the day with a Children in Need themed assembly, led by Mr Pallett and students Sophie and Sam, who prepared a quiz and supporting PowerPoint to test students knowledge of Children in Need. A great way to get everyone thinking about the reasons behind the fundraising events.

Students also embraced the event by wearing silly socks and Pudsey ears to show their support for the fantastic cause.

Students planned stalls to fundraise during lunchtime in The Cube and enjoyed getting involved in a variety of activities, from keepy-uppy challenges and hook-a-duck, to bake sales and raffles. The Cube had a fantastic atmosphere and there was something for everyone!

Students contributed through both donations of loose change and through the time they dedicated to coming up with such thoughtful and creative fundraising activities. Well done to everyone involved.

We are delighted to announce that the total raised for BBC Children in Need was:

Year 7 -  £190.35

Top tutor group... 7RLY!

Year 8 - £157.91
